Becky Lynch has talked about what WWE means to her and whether she plans to look into other options.
Becky Lynch, who has been regarded as one of the top talents in the women’s division for a while, has hosted several major events, including WrestleMania 35, and has won six world championships. Even though The Man has always been portrayed as a shining light and a surefire Hall of Famer, what if Lynch chooses to leave the organization that helped establish her as a household name?
Although several stars seemed to be lifelong members of their respective businesses, very few people could have predicted a few years ago that Edge would make his AEW debut and Cody Rhodes would return to WWE. There are rumors that Lynch’s contract is one among several that will expire in 2024, but don’t anticipate The Man to fight outside of the WWE.
Lynch went into further detail about her relationship to the promotion and how it has always been a part of her in an interview with Strutting From Gorilla. Lynch declared that her last match would happen inside a WWE ring, referring to the organization as her home:
Without a doubt. I grew up loving and watching WWE, which is why I decided to pursue a career in pro wrestling. Now that I’ve been there, I adore it. I adore the audience, the people, and the opportunity to play a significant role in bringing about change. I adore that I get to keep pushing it and that at WWE, my opinion counts. We seem to have made a lasting impact on the state of women’s wrestling, and I feel heard. I find that to be really special. I call it home. In many ways, it’s where my influence as a professional wrestler began, and it’s also where I plan to retire.
Praise for Becky Lynch’s NXT Work
Lynch was first a member of NXT before finally being brought up to the main roster, just like many of today’s biggest talents. Lynch would return to the developing brand in the autumn of 2023 after Tiffany Stratton, the NXT Women’s Champion at the time, continually called her out. After unseating Stratton, Lynch would devote several weeks to the brand, developing the talent and improving the ratings. Ahead of the Deadline Premium Live Event, Shawn Michaels gave Becky Lynch high marks for her efforts on the NXT brand during a media teleconference.
