Chelsea has confirmed that Andrey Santos has returned to the club after spending the first half of the season on loan at Nottingham Forest.
After appearing in just two games during his brief stay with Forest, Santos has returned to Stamford Bridge, as revealed by their official website this afternoon.
Although he is still young and still learning the game, the young Brazilian appears to be a gifted player with a bright future at Chelsea, thus it would make sense for him to go on loan again in the near future.
Naturally, Chelsea hasn’t revealed much in their statement, but there may be more information to come in the coming days and weeks.
Although it’s a little surprise that Forest didn’t have more space for Santos, they also have a sizable roster following a busy transfer window that saw them rejoin the Premier League the previous year.
Chelsea will now undoubtedly be hoping that Santos will attract a lot of interest in January as they try to help him get back on track following this small setback.
