If Anthony Joshua fights Francis Ngannou later this year, Tony Bellew believes he will triumph spectacularly.
Shortly after Tyson Fury and Oleksandr Usyk’s fight, in March, Joshua and Ngannou will travel to Saudi Arabia for a major heavyweight fight, according to news that leaked at the end of last week.
Last October, Ngannou nearly stunned Fury with a remarkable performance that gatecrashed the heavyweight rankings.
After being thoroughly stunned by Ngannou, the current WBC champion might get the chance to shock everyone once more when he faces Joshua.
Bellew believes Ngannou won’t have the same level of success against Joshua, even though he did get the respect of the boxing community in 2023.
Speaking exclusively to DAZN, Bellew declared, “I’m going with AJ and I’m expecting him to do it in a brutal manner too.”
Joshua and Fury fight differently, so if Joshua is focused and well-prepared going into the fight, he should have no trouble winning.
“I’m expecting Joshua to flatten Ngannou in one or two rounds, but this is a different fight and he proved a lot of people wrong against Fury.”
