Bayern Munich has noted PSG defender Nordi Mukiele as a potential target for January, according to Fabrizio Romano’s report.
Mukiele, who played brilliantly for RB Leipzig in the Bundesliga in the past, is reportedly eager to go back to Germany. The 26-year-old is the best option, in Thomas Tuchel’s opinion as head coach of Bayern, to cover at centre defender and right back.
But before the transfer window closes, PSG would need to find a replacement for Mukiele in order to make a deal. Even though the French champions have only made eleven appearances overall this season, Mukiele is still regarded as a valuable member of the squad by the Parisians.
The conditions of the agreement would also need to be approved by the two teams. It’s unclear at this time if Bayern would be able to work out a future buy option with Mukiele, or if the player would just be joining on a simple six-month loan.
Mukiele seems like a good fit for Der Rekordmeister, who is hoping to add defensive reinforcement during the winter transfer window. However, Radu Drăgușin and Eric Dier have been recognised by Bayern as other possible targets.
