Only twice have Arsenal triumphed in their last eight games in all competitions; their most recent victory came against Crystal Palace, which they won 5-0. As it stands, Arsenal seems to be keeping an eye on potential candidates.
According to a TEAMtalk article, Kyle Walker-Peters is a player that Gunners fans should watch.
The 26-year-old has played well since moving from Tottenham to Southampton for a reported £12 million. He hasn’t missed a single minute of this season’s Championship.
Arsenal was keeping an eye on Walker-Peters during the summer. Mauricio Pochettino seems keen to reunite with the full-back he managed at Tottenham, and the player has been linked to Chelsea.
Walker-Peters may not be the most noteworthy addition to Arsenal. But he can play full-back at any position with remarkable ease.
He made his Premier League debut for Spurs at left-back, showcasing his versatility there.
Russell Martin has described Walker-Peters as a “beautiful” football player. Southampton is unlikely to be interested in selling him for a low fee, given that he is playing in the second tier.
It is therefore surprising that, prior to the end of the transfer window, Arsenal is being mentioned as a potential Walker-Peters admirer.
The Gunners want to bolster their full-back positions with more depth. They might be able to rotate Oleksandr Zinchenko at left back and Ben White at right back if they sign Walker-Peters.
