Kyle Walker has been transparent about the effects of his breakup with his childhood sweetheart on his role as a father.
With a fourth child expected to come later this year, the soon-to-be 33-year-old father of six shares custody of three children with his separated wife Annie Kilner. However, the Manchester City star is no longer residing in the family home as a result of Kyle’s extramarital escapades, which included fathering two children with Lauryn Goodman.
Annie filed for divorce from the football player earlier this month, and soon after, the shocking revelation that the WAG is expecting her fourth child came to light. It is believed that after much suffering, Annie decided to end her marriage during the holiday season after learning that her husband had fathered a second kid with Instagram star Lauryn.
Although he maintains he never dated Lauryn, Kyle has now opened up extensively about his personal struggles off the football pitch and acknowledged that it’s difficult to live apart from three of his five children.
“I am posting this in response to growing recent media enquiries about my marriage to Kyle and in an effort to protect my family against the intensity of the media spotlight,” Annie wrote on Instagram when she revealed her separation from Kyle on January 10. Unfortunately, I’ve made the decision to step away from Kyle for a while after many years of marriage and three amazing kids.”
subsequently it was made public that Kyle, who is pregnant and has three small children, Riaan, Roman, and Reign, was no longer residing at the family’s expansive £2.5 million Cheshire home. It was subsequently reported that the right-back had moved into rental housing as a result of the breakup.
Kyle’s voice broke during a recent interview as he talked about the reality of living apart from his wife and their three kids. “Every night, my little boy sleeps with me, and to not have him… I’m accustomed to spending a lot of time away from England,” he said to The Sun. “We bid each other adieu via FaceTime. But what hurts me is knowing that I’m not with him because of my mistakes—I think mistake is the wrong word—my decisions.”
During the frank interview, Kyle also made multiple jabs at Instagram celebrity Lauryn, denying that he ever had a close bond with the mother of two of his kids. When Kairo Walker was born in 2020, Lauryn and the professional football player became parents for the first time. Lauryn gave birth to a baby girl in August of last year, but she chose not to name the father right away—she simply made a passing reference to the baby’s initials, K.W. Following weeks of conjecture, Kyle has at last acknowledged that he is the father of Lauryn’s two small children.
Though the Instagram model and Kyle have two children together, Kyle seems to be saying that their connection was limited to sex. He even goes so far as to say that Lauryn doesn’t even know his coffee order. Lauryn also never goes to the movies or out to eat.
On Monday morning, Lauryn responded to Kyle’s remarks by sharing a few cryptic posts on her Instagram Stories, which she shared hours after her baby daddy’s shocking interview. After responding to Kyle’s assertion that she doesn’t know how he drinks coffee, the mother of two published a piece about pathological narcissists. It turns out that the 33-year-old prefers a flat white to get his caffeine fix.
Two days after Annie announced their separation, on January 12, Kyle finally confirmed that he and his estranged wife Annie had broken up. Kyle was 17 when he first met Annie in his hometown of Sheffield, and she was 15. “Annie is an amazing woman and I can only apologies for the upset I’ve caused her,” the sports star wrote on Instagram to supporters. For the sake of our kids, she will always be a part of my life, as we have done for a very long time. I would want to request privacy for our entire family during these trying times, especially for our small children.”
