The fact that this will be Jurgen Klopp’s final season at Liverpool still seems hard to believe. especially considering how well he is now constructing for the future.
Klopp has elevated so many young players from the academy during the season. players that have contributed to the squad and shown off their great potential, rather than just filling in for others when necessary.
The victory over Norwich City yesterday provided another evidence of the wealth of talent passing through the ranks. The part Klopp’s academy graduates played in the match helped Liverpool defeat the Championship team. And in remarks made during the game, Klopp disclosed that one of them is now regarded as a first team player instead of an academy graduate.
Jurgen Klopp comments on Jarell Quansah
According to the team’s official website, Klopp waxed poetic about his teammates in his post-match remarks. He made a point of highlighting the significant contribution his academy players made to the game. and disclosed that there was one who was currently regarded as a first-team member.
I don’t know how long we have to talk about [Jarell] Quansah as an Academy [player], but Conor [Bradley] is the same, just incredibly good,” Klopp remarked.
“He is, indeed, [that is] fantastic, but I would say that he is now established [in the senior squad].” Given his age, he can undoubtedly still get better, but like the rest of the team, he plays a vital role.
Liverpool is going through exciting times right now, and Klopp is correct to draw that distinction regarding Quansah. The 21-year-old is no longer truly an academy player because of how many times he has shown his abilities for the senior squad.
This season, Quansah is unquestionably the best illustration of Klopp’s future-focused strategy. He appears to be a strong potential and has adapted to life on the first team with such ease.
