Cedric Soares, a defender for Arsenal, is in negotiations to join Galatasaray for a small transfer price.
In exchange for joining the Turkish powerhouses and rejoining his former Portugal manager Fernando Santos, the 32-year-old is offered a two-and-a-half-year contract.
The transfer market in Turkey remains open for eight days after the Premier League’s conclusion, giving Galatasaray until February 9th to finalize the deal.
After just two senior appearances this season under Mikel Arteta, Cedric is prepared to depart from North London. His current £70,000-per-week deal has five months left on it.
Cedric would rejoin former Gunners teammate Lucas Torreira at Galatasaray, where he would join a group that also includes former Crystal Palace player Wilfried Zaha, Chelsea loanee Hakim Ziyech, and Tottenham loanee Tanguay Ndombele.
The Istanbul club also features Mauro Icardi, Davinson Sanchez, and Dries Mertens.
Galatasaray, who are vying with Fenerbahce for the championship, are second in the Turkish Super Lig after only losing four games this year.
