Bayer Leverkusen is unlikely to complete a move for PSG’s Marco Asensio
According to Fabrizio Romano, Bayer Leverkusen’s chances of landing Marco Asensio of PSG before the deadline are slim.
Leverkusen is presently having trouble making a move, and it’s been said that Asensio, 28, is not interested in leaving the Paris team and that PSG will not permit him to leave in the winter.
This runs counter to what Sky stated, stating that Asensio is open to departing should a good offer be made prior to the transfer deadline. Asensio, who featured 12 times across all competitions, has battled with playing time at PSG after joining from Real Madrid on a free transfer in the summer.
Asensio’s signing would give Leverkusen’s offense a new dimension. They struggled against a deep-defending opposition against Borussia Mönchengladbach in their 0-0 draw, as evidenced by their recent results. With the loan signing of Borja Iglesias from Real Betis, Leverkusen has already addressed their lack of offensive firepower following Victor Boniface’s injury.
