TYSON FURY DISCLAIMS AMAZING PLAN TO WIN DOMINANCE IN HEAVYWEIGHT BOXING
Tyson Fury has expressed his desire to retire numerous times; in fact, he has already made that decision. But not any longer.
The world heavyweight title unification bout between “The Gipsy King” (34-0-1) and Oleksandr Usyk (21-0) is scheduled for February 17. “The Gipsy King” should be in Saudi Arabia completing his preparations for this momentous battle.
The bout was rescheduled for May 18 after Fury suffered a cut during training that necessitated 11 stitches, ruining the original plan just over a week ago.
As he recovers in Morecambe, Lancashire, “The Gipsy King” has some time to consider his future. Judging from his most recent major revelation, it’s going to be a rather ambitious one.
The 35-year-old heavyweight champion of the WBC and lineal classes has unveiled his five-fight schedule, all of which are huge blockbusters. Since their contract includes a rematch provision, it goes without saying that he begins with TWO battles versus Usyk. And then it becomes even hotter.
Tyson Fury presents his lofty combat strategy.
“I keep hearing talk of people saying I should retire or I’m going to retire soon or whatever,” Fury stated in an Instagram post. I have two fights left with Usyk for the undisputed title, therefore I’m not quitting.
“After the first beating I give Anthony Joshua, if he wants a rematch, I’m going to fight him at least once, maybe twice. After that, I’ll battle [Francis] Ngannou once more. And that’s only the beginning. You might therefore pique your interest with these five brief battles. I am not going away. Not at all. I’m 35 years old, in the best shape of my life, and I’m prepared to succeed.
The next several years will see some very amazing developments in heavyweight boxing if Fury lives up to his promises. The Saudi investors driving the unexpected comeback of heavyweight boxing have already expressed their want for the winner of Fury vs. Usyk to square up against the winner of Joshua vs. Ngannou on March 8.
