The Super Eagles of Nigeria have won the silver medal in the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations for the fifth time, and the House of Representatives has congratulated them on their accomplishment.
In a statement released on Monday, the house’s spokesperson, Akin Rotimi (APC-Ekiti State), stated that the legislators applauded the players and coaching staff for their enthusiastic performance in Cote d’Ivoire.
He noted that team captain William Ekong’s performance, which earned him the title of “Man of the Competition,” has the lawmakers very thrilled.
“The Super Eagles should have won the AFCON trophy, but they came up short due to their performance during the tournament,”
