After a 6-0 thrashing of Man City, Scott McKenna advises Copenhagen not to fear them
The FC Copenhagen teammates, who play Man City this week in the Champions League, should not be afraid of Erling Haaland and his teammates, according to Scott McKenna.
The Danish team hired the former Aberdeen defender on loan when he was benched by Nuno Espirito Santo, the new manager of Nottingham Forest.
In their attempt to create an impression on the holders, Copenhagen will face a difficult test on Tuesday night when they host City in the first leg of their round of 16 match.
Scotland international McKenna is not intimidated by the challenge at hand, as the Daily Record reports, despite his team’s recent 6-0 loss to City with Forest.
“It will be a challenging match, as Manchester City is undoubtedly a top team,” he declared. However, I don’t think you should treat them too well; else, they’ll just push you aside.
“You have to attempt to cause them as much difficulty as you can, and ideally, that will benefit us. I’ve only ever had one game versus Manchester City, and it didn’t go well.
“I know Copenhagen played against City last season in the Champions League too so the players at the club have probably faced them more than me.”
