Red Bull is not immune to special liveries
Over the years, Red Bull has produced numerous unique liveries.
The Milton Keynes team isn’t hesitant to try anything new, whether it’s during pre-season testing or with unique paint jobs to honour Honda or a particular cause.
Starting with the Superman and Star Wars designs, RacingNews365 has compiled a list of some of the most famous and outstanding ones below.
Wings for Life 2008 was David Coulthard’s final Formula One season. With his consent, the team wore a unique “Wings for Life” livery at his farewell race in Brazil.
Coulthard was hit by Kazuki Nakajima’s Williams at Turn 1, ending his 246th and final race.
During pre-season testing in 2015, Red Bull unveiled the Camo-bull, a customised design that concealed certain sections of the car during testing.
A Tribute to Honda
Another excellent opportunity to showcase a new livery is during a shakedown. When combined with the rainy Silverstone shakedown, the 2018 RB14’s patchwork tone of dark blue produced one of the greatest.
It was succeeded by the ‘danger-bull’ RB15 a year later.
In 2021, over the weekend of the Japanese Grand Prix in Turkey, the team decided to celebrate Honda by removing the majority of the famous Red Bull livery.
2023 American liveries
In 2023, Red Bull decided to have a unique design for each of the US races in Miami, Austin, and Las Vegas, all chosen by fan voting. This decision was made in line with the trend of teams employing unique one-off liveries for races.
