Manchester United hasn’t been particularly successful in hiring in the past few years.
The Red Devils are under fire for paying players significantly more than their market value, especially in the last several windows.
Gabriel Agbonlahor is less persuaded by the acquisitions of Antony, Casemiro, and Raphael Varane, even though Mason Mount—who has struggled due to injuries throughout his time at Old Trafford—is still debatable.
During his talkSPORT appearance, Agbonlahor chastised Erik ten Hag for his decision to enter Antony.
The former Aston Villa player declared, “Ratcliffe won’t have these signings anymore.” He won’t allow Ten Hag to purchase Varane and Casemiro, nor will he allow him to purchase Antony for £70 million.
Although Mason Mount is a respectable player despite his injury history, the amount of money they wasted on him, Casemiro, Antony, and Varane has resulted in mediocre performance at best.
“Only Hojlund has performed exceptionally well; as I have stated from the beginning, he is Man United’s Haaland and will benefit the team.”
Martinez is a strong and skillful center-half who has the potential to be very good. Simply put, I don’t think Ratcliffe will let any of these players—like Varane and Casemiro—imagine that they can come to Man United for their final big salary when their careers are coming to an end.
The fans of United surely anticipate substantial advancements from Ratcliffe and INEOS, both on and off the pitch.
United is trying to sign Dan Ashworth from Newcastle United after bringing in Omar Berrada from Manchester City.
In addition, United has already determined who they want to sign in the summer: Jarrad Branthwaite of Everton and Michael Olise of Crystal Palace.
