The injury status of Christopher Nkunku has been updated with concern by Chelsea manager Mauricio Pochettino
Christopher Nkunku suffered yet another injury, as Chelsea disclosed earlier today on their official website.
Furthermore, the Blues do not even know when Mauricio Pochettino injured it, according to his recent claims.
In their most recent match, a 1-0 loss to Liverpool in the Carabao Cup final, the forward started from the bench but was hardly noticeable.
Since Nkunku has missed so many games due to various fitness concerns, this season has been extremely challenging for him.
Chelsea and Pochettino should be concerned about Christopher Nkunku’s injuries given his recent setback. Nkunku, who has only made two starts in the Premier League this season, will now miss the Blues’ next match against Leeds United tomorrow.
The Frenchman cost the club a lot of money, and it is beginning to seem like a bit of a waste at this point.
Naturally, though, this is just his first season at Stamford Bridge. Hopefully, Nkunku will be able to move over all of his fitness issues by the next term and show everyone what a capable guy he is.
The France international scored 70 goals in 172 games for RB Leipzig, demonstrating his amazing goal-scoring ability while he was in Germany.
However, it appears that Pochettino will have to rely on players like Cole Palmer and Nicolas Jackson, who are currently the team’s top two goal scorers.
Nkunku will be out of commission for some time, as the Argentine confirmed; the former Leipzig player may be sidelined for as long as four weeks.
