Patrick Scott, a former independent wrestler, is currently a member of the creative team at WWE.
Scott would be joining WWE as a writers’ assistant on SmackDown shortly after completing his responsibilities for North Carolina promotion PWF the day before, according to a claim that was first published by Bodyslam.net on February 25. After the fight, Scott left his boots in the ring and announced on social media that he would have more to share in the next few days.
Scott thanked everyone for their support and confirmed that he is a member of the largest wrestling organization in the world in a follow-up post:
“I left North Carolina yesterday as an independent wrestler. As an employee of @WWE, I woke up in Connecticut today,” Scott stated. “I would like to say a lot more, but Twitter’s character restriction is telling me to stop talking. THANK YOU to everyone who has helped me throughout my ten-plus years in the industry.
The story from Bodyslam.net that Scott works as a writers’ assistant for Friday Night SmackDown is also supported by Scott’s social media accounts. Scott has previously participated in two NXT brand matches on WWE TV, losing to Heavy Machinery and Kona Reeves in enhancement matches. Scott has competed from the NWA in the past.
