Carlito Talks About The “Big Dream” He At WWE WrestleMania Attained
As Carlito and his real-life brother Primo defeated John Morrison and The Miz to become the Unified WWE Tag Team Champions, the WWE Universe witnessed the emotional pinnacle of a long-time goal. This moment occurred during the WrestleMania 25 pre-show. This success was more than just the brothers’ career coup; it was the realization of a common goal on “The Grandest Stage Of Them All.”
In a recent interview with “Stories with Brisco and Bradshaw,” Carlito talked about this momentous occasion and the immense happiness he felt upon witnessing his cousin Epico advance within the WWE hierarchy soon after. “It was enjoyable. Those men were awesome to have with me, not only at WrestleMania but also at other events. Being in a tag match or wrestling each other is one of the brothers’ greatest ambitions, especially if you’re a wrestling enthusiast. Therefore, I believe one of my favorite moments to date is the fact that we were able to do that at WrestleMania.”
After winning matches against teams like Chavo Guerrero and Jamie Noble, Charlie Haas and Shelton Benjamin, and Matt Hardy and William Regal, Carlito, and Primo were able to hold their championships in the tag team division. But in the end, they were defeated by Chris Jericho and Edge at WWE The Bash in June 2009, as they faced off against Cody Rhodes and Ted DiBiase Jr. in a triple threat tag match.
