Before retiring, Andy Murray intends to compete in another Olympic Games.
On Monday,
hinted that his playing days might just be a “few months” away.Nevertheless, Murray, who took home gold in the men’s singles events in Rio 2016 and London 2012, stated on BBC Radio 4’s Today Programme that he hopes to compete in the Olympics once again.
“Hopefully I can get the chance to compete at another one,” Murray added.
The three-time Grand Slam winner considers his 2012 gold medal, won when he overcame Roger Federer in the championship match, to be his greatest professional accomplishment.
Even as early as 2019, Murray voiced concerns about his career in sports, but he was able to revive it following hip resurfacing surgery.
