Tyson Fury is accused of being a “dirty” fighter by Agron Smakici, who sliced over his right eye to stop him from fighting Oleksandr Usyk.
On February 17, Fury was scheduled to challenge Usyk for the Undisputed Heavyweight Championship. However, due to the cut, it was rescheduled for May 18. Fury left the fight for the second time on this occasion. On December 23, of last year, they were scheduled to fight.
After being knocked out in the third round of his battle with Francis Ngannou, Fury withdrew. According to Turki AlalShikh, if a fighter withdraws, they will be fined $10 million. Smakici, however, called Fury a nasty fighter and refused to feel sorry for him.
Fury’s Cut: “No noteworthy events occurred. Before that, we had a great sparring session all day. All he did was set some fire with some ill-advised remarks and shady behavior. He pulled some dirty tactics when I had my head down, which is what started the fire and the heat.
“And then, regrettably, I gave it everything I had, and the injury occurred. He made some statements, but they weren’t particularly relevant. He lowered my head. Smakici stated, “Even though I put his head down a lot because I’m a good wrestler, he only put my head down once and he was doing awful things with my head if you know what I mean.
Smakici has, however, moved on since then. Right now, he’s assisting Joseph Parker in getting ready for his matchup with Zhilei Zhang. Parker will compete in Anthony Joshua vs. Francis Ngannou on March 8 as the co-main event. There were hints that Fury wanted to end the altercation.
Rumors that he was being “turned over in sparring” were the basis for this. At thirty-five, Fury is not getting any younger. Following his battles with mental health, he engaged in three hard fights with Deontay Wilder. He was battling alcohol misuse during his time out. However, Parker and Smakici dismissed rumors that Fury wished to end the altercation with Usyk.
The Withdrawal of Fury
“I have no doubts that it was my first. Furthermore, he did not comment, “Hey, that was an elbow,” or anything like following the cut. The sensation of an elbow is different from that of a fist; the former feels like a hammer. Perhaps because he was pushing my head forward, it slid. It may have slipped to the elbow, but Smakici said it wasn’t intentional.
These occurrences happen in boxing, yet everyone has an explanation for how or why they happened, as well as an opinion. It was an odd mishap. He caught him with a punch or an elbow, I believe, during the most recent sparring session. These things do happen. The fight has been rescheduled, which is fantastic to see. It will occur, but it will take some time, Parker continued.
