FC Barcelona still embodies the wonderful characteristic of having faith in the youth. When it comes to the development of young people, the Catalan giants are regarded as being among the best. Barcelona’s greatness stems from their adherence to this tradition and way of doing things.
But not all of the next generation of stars come from Barcelona. The young talent of the highest caliber also comes from outside the club, sometimes even from outside Europe. The youthful Brazilian forward, 19, who arrived during the winter window, is one such instance.
But the guy in question, Vitor Roque, hasn’t got as many opportunities as he would have liked. Rather than being able to start for Barcelona as often as he would have liked, he has instead been confined to a variety of cameos and opportunities off the bench.
Mundo Deportivo claims that this isn’t because Xavi doesn’t believe in him. The Barcelona coach thinks he’s a long-term and short-term addition. He went so far as to admit that he was excited to have Roque join the team in addition to Deco.
Rather, the planning is the reason for his limited opportunities. Barcelona wants to gradually introduce him to this unique blend and style of play, which is entirely foreign to him. They think he will be a valuable member of the team in the future, but he needs to adjust first.
Moreover, Xavi wanted to exercise caution because of the injury he had already experienced before traveling to Spain. Considering his youth, the Barcelona coach thinks that for him to reach his full potential, he requires the correct kind of care at Barcelona.
However, it would be challenging to offer him chances given the amount of attacking quality the team already has. Lewandowski is returning to his greatest form, Lamine Yamal is still exploding, Joao Felix and Ferran Torres provide a more advanced quality, and there are many more reasons.
Even while it might not happen now or tomorrow, Roque will eventually have his chance. The young Brazilian striker has already scored a tonne of goals and has a lot of promise. Even though he has only made one start for Barcelona thus far, that total will probably rise dramatically in the upcoming years.
