Drew McIntyre, who has his sights set on World Heavyweight Champion Damian Priest, hasn’t forgotten about his long-standing feud with CM Punk as excitement for the upcoming WWE Clash at the Castle event grows.
Before the June 15th show, McIntyre gave a warning to the “Straight Edge Superstar” should he think about performing in Glasgow in an exclusive interview with Cultaholic’s Tom Campbell.
Speaking out, McIntyre drew on Punk’s turbulent past to highlight the possible consequences of their engagement.
Considering what transpired at Clash the last time, I believe there are several reasons why it would be a mistake. I sincerely hope that doesn’t occur in the UK once more. This is Glasgow, Scotland, and it’s not like this anywhere. Since there’s a real possibility you could get jumped, I would strongly advise not getting involved or doing anything to upset the apple cart during this performance.
The Scottish powerhouse added emphasis to the seriousness of the situation by hinting at a possible reaction from the local security, saying:
Furthermore, since the security officers are also Scottish, there’s a real risk they won’t stop them. I’m telling you, if you get involved in my match, there’s a strong chance you’ll get jumped, and security will help jump you.
Drew McIntyre made fun of CM Punk’s UFC career in a promo after the May 31st SmackDown edition aired. McIntyre claimed he would offer Punk a championship fight and “embarrass him worse than he embarrassed himself in the UFC” if he won the WWE World Heavyweight Championship.
