With his Manchester United team, Erik ten Hag has had to cope with a great lot of injury issues, and it appears like Facundo Pellistri will be the latest player to miss out.
The Uruguayan winger appears to be a key member of Marcelo Bielsa’s lineup and is a starter for his country.
Pellistri, though, has had difficulty breaking into the starting lineup for United. The winger was given a few opportunities in the squad in September, but after Antony resumed training, he was left off the roster.
The winger appeared to have an issue, but he still made an impressive showing in his country’s victory over Bolivia.
Pellistri’s issue
The Manchester Evening News reports that the winger suffered an injury while serving with the South American team abroad. The precise type of harm sustained is unknown.
Pellistri was brought in as a substitute and appears to be among the several players who will probably miss United’s vital game at Goodison Park against Sean Dyche’s Everton.
Rasmus Hojlund, Lisandro Martinez, Casemiro, Tyrell Malacia, Jonny Evans, and Andre Onana are all expected to miss or be doubtful for the crucial matchup against the Toffees, who were recently docked points for violating the Premier League’s Financial Fair Play regulations. Pellistri joins them.
United’s injury woes
At Old Trafford, the extent of the injury problems has been almost absurd. Although the club is attempting to resolve these problems internally, according to The Daily Mail, there is cause for concern.
The number of muscle issues will be the most worrisome part of the current injury catastrophe. While Luke Shaw is still recovering from a muscle ailment, it appears that Hojlund has sustained a comparable issue.
It’s unclear if Ten Hag is overworking the players, as The Guardian claims, but the severity of the issues they have faced is undoubtedly worrisome.
It is hoped that the Red Devils can overcome their present injury woes with a heavy Christmas calendar approaching.
