At the Tyson Fury vs. Oleksandr Usyk news conference, John Fury, Tyson Fury’s father, got into a fight that resulted in extensive bleeding from his forehead.
In the video, Fury angrily criticises Usyk’s teammates while they are yelling loudly in his support. After that, he is seen putting his head against a team Usyk member’s forehead; whether or not this is what caused the bleeding is unknown. In a another video, Fury can also be seen yelling and lunging at team Usyk players. Tyson Fury and Usyk were not present when the events transpired.
But in a more recent clip, which was posted on Mail Sport’s official X (formerly Twitter) account, Fury is shown headbutting a player on Usyk’s squad. Soon after, a number of individuals tried to separate the two in order to stop them from hurting anyone else.
Fury was a professional boxer, just as his son. His record stood at eight victories, four defeats, and one tie. Fury’s career started with a loss to Adam Fogerty, the star of Snatch and Legend. Following his victories over a few journeymen, Fury was defeated by Neil Malpass for the Central Area heavyweight title.
Henry Akinwande, an unbeaten prospect, stopped Fury in 1991. After a four-year break from the sport, he returned in 1995 for his first fight, which ended in a knockout loss to Steve Garber.
Oleksandr Usyk vs. Tyson Fury will fight on Saturday, May 18, at Saudi Arabia’s Kingdom Arena. Starting at 5 p.m. GMT, the main event’s ring walks are scheduled to commence at around 11 p.m.
