Pep Guardiola, the manager of Manchester City, has allayed worries in the North-West of England that they might be without Rodri Hernandez by saying that he will be healthy enough to play against Real Madrid.
The Spanish midfielder, who scored the opening goal against Bayern Munich in the previous round of the Champions League, has been a significant component of Guardiola’s team in recent seasons and much more so this one.
He left the pitch with what appeared to be an injury in the closing moments of their 3-0 victory over Everton on Sunday. Guardiola did, however, promise to be present on Wednesday, as reported by Marca, which will be a relief for the home team.
It appears that both City and Real Madrid will field nearly their whole rosters for their match on Wednesday. Four players for Carlo Ancelotti had fitness difficulties prior to the game, but all four have travelled with the Real Madrid team. Eduardo Camavinga was one of them.
