Liverpool is looking to bolster their midfield, and an intriguing prospect has surfaced in the last two weeks.
Romeo Lavia has long been seen as the Reds’ primary target, but Andre Trindade has recently emerged as a player the Merseyside club might give serious consideration to.
According to Fabrizio Romano, who was interviewed on the Here We Go Podcast, there’s little likelihood of this trade closing despite reports that a bid from Liverpool is on the way.
In fact, Roman claims that he has heard that Fluminense genuinely doesn’t want to sell Andre and that it will be quite challenging for Liverpool to complete this deal.
Fluminense is averse to selling.
Romano revealed what he is aware of Andre.
Despite ties to Andre from Fluminense, I’m informed that the team doesn’t want to sell the player at this time, so Romeo Lavia remains Liverpool’s top priority goal, Romano said. “My feeling is that Liverpool will make another bid,” he added.

Liverpool’s situation is actually not hopeless.
Andre is a highly regarded young Brazilian player, but given his lack of experience at the highest level, it’s difficult to genuinely lament the possibility that the Reds won’t be able to sign him.
In all honesty, no one can state with certainty that they know the type of player Andre would be in the Premier League, so it’s hard to truly get furious over this one. It’s easy to get cut up about lost transfer targets, especially when they looked like they would be the perfect fit.
Liverpool may now need to spread their net a little wider because there are a tonne more fish in the sea.
