Within two hours of today’s sales opening, all race day tickets for the 2024 Formula 1 Australian Grand Prix had been purchased.
Grandstand and Park Pass (general admission) ticket allocations for the event on Sunday (March 24) have been used up, as has Grandstand for the event on Saturday (March 23).
There are still a few general admission Saturday tickets available, as well as a few hospitality Sunday race day tickets.
“The record-breaking number of pre-registrations and the rate of today’s sales demonstrate that fans are just as excited as we are for next year’s Formula 1 event in Melbourne,” Australian Grand Prix Corporation CEO Travis Auld said.
While there are no more Grandstand or Park Pass tickets available for Sunday, there will be plenty of events on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. We recommend fans arrive early to ensure a seat.
The 2024 F1 Australian Grand Prix has the most pre-registration for a sporting event in Ticketmaster Australia history with over 100,000 people signing up for early access to tickets.
The event continues to be very popular as evidenced by the fact that today’s last release went on sale at 12:00 AEST and was swiftly snatched up (419,114 in 2022 and 444,631 in 2023 respectively established back-to-back four-day crowd records at Albert Park).
Because the event has been authorized under the Major Events Act 2009, tickets cannot be marketed for resale or sold for more than 10% over face value in order to combat the potential of scalping.
Steve Dimopoulos, Victoria’s Minister for Tourism, Sport, and Major Events, stated that the upcoming Formula 1 Australian Grand Prix is expected to break attendance records in Melbourne. Good news for the economy, local companies, and jobs.
Next year’s Grand Prix has been formally designated as a major event, which will better safeguard attendees from ticket touts and provide more fans the best chance to see their favorite racers contend for the checkered flag.
The Formula 1 Australian Grand Prix in 2024 will be Round 3 of a 24-round season, and Albert Park will also host the Formula 2 and Formula 3 world championships after their debuts this year.
The Repco Supercars Championship is also anticipated to be on the schedule, though this has not yet been confirmed, as it has been for every race since 2008.
