Jurgen Klopp, the manager of Liverpool, has gushed about Anfield academy product Ben Doak.
Six of the 17-year-old’s senior competitive appearances for the Reds have already occurred.
Doak is a regular member of the first team and has already made one Premier League appearance this year.
In March 2022, Liverpool acquired him from Celtic for a compensation amount of about £600,000.
Doak is one of Liverpool’s most intriguing young players, and James Milner called his skills “absolutely incredible.”
Prior to the Reds’ trip to Aston Villa in the Premier League, Klopp sang Doak’s praises to the Reds media team.
The Liverpool manager was discussing his team’s summer transfer activity and how he had to employ younger players as subs.
Everyone seems to enjoy it when Ben Doak enters the game and plays a certain number of minutes.
“When I look at it before we start the game and you look at the line-up and, yes, the bench options were in the last weeks now a bit young, but even that is great,” added Klopp.
“I believe that everyone enjoys watching Ben Doak enter the game and play his assigned minutes.
Stefan is back in the gym working hard. So yeah, we aged, but it was inevitable. Although we have less experience, this is normal. But our yearning is strong. I adore this group.
