According to journalist Bobby Vincent, it is the case.
On Saturday night, Chelsea and Arsenal square off at Stamford Bridge in a Premier League game.
But will Benoit Badiashile make his debut this year in a matchday squad?
The return of Benoit Badiashile is soon.
Due to an injury, Badiashile has had to watch the first two months of this season from the sidelines, but it sounds like he’s almost ready to make a comeback.
Earlier this week, the 22-year-old defender posted something on Instagram. It displayed a picture of Badiashile during his previous training at Cobham.
The £35 million (Sky Sports) center-back is reportedly available this weekend against Arsenal at home, according to new reports.
Bobby Vincent, a journalist, revealed that Badiashile had been working out all week. There are those close to the Frenchman who believe he is also ready for the spotlight.
“Benoit Badiashile has been involved in full Chelsea training this week,” he posted on X. According to sources close to the defense, he will be ready to play tomorrow. Although it is unclear if he will be included in the matchday roster, the Blues will benefit greatly from his selection.
Chelsea’s CB strength
As Chelsea’s starting center-back pairing so far this season, Thiago Silva and Axel Disasi have impressed. However, when it comes to the center of defense, Blues head coach Mauricio Pochettino might soon experience selection difficulties.
In the second half of the previous campaign, Badiashile established his talent as a youthful center-back. He should therefore be extremely confident that he can rejoin the starting XI, albeit with a different manager this time.
Levi Colwill, who is currently excelling at left back, is a center-back by trade and has a lot of promise.
Wesley Fofana is watching from the stands as he heals from a persistent injury issue, too!
We would be strongly tempted to test out the Badiashile-Colwill combination in the center of Chelsea’s defense, but it could be unwise to alter a combination that now appears to be quite secure.
