The Premier League’s top-of-the-table match will take place when the Reds visit the Etihad Stadium on Saturday, November 25 at 12.30 GMT. After defeating Brentford 3-0 yesterday, Liverpool shot up to second place thanks to goals from Mo Salah and Diogo Jota.
The Reds and Chelsea shared an exciting 4–4 draw at Stamford Bridge, putting them just one point behind City.
Pep Guardiola’s team did not have John Stones, and the manager of City acknowledged prior to the Chelsea match that he did not know if the center-half would return to play Liverpool. Guardiola declared, “He’s hurt.” We shall see after the international break since he is not ready for tomorrow. I’m not sure if he’ll be prepared for Liverpool.
“I’m not sure, but the doctor thinks it’s not as serious as first imagined. He will return as soon as he is fit again.
Additionally, City was without Nathan Ake, another centre defender, for the match against Chelsea. The 28-year-old has been forced to withdraw from the Holland team due to an injury; the severity of the problem has not been disclosed.
“National coach Ronald Koeman cannot call on Nathan Aké in the upcoming European Championship qualifiers against Ireland and Gibraltar,” the Dutch FA announced in a statement. The defender for Manchester City has left the game hurt. He was also forced to miss tonight’s league game against Chelsea for his team. There are currently 24 players on the lineup since Koeman did not request a replacement.”
Since August, City’s talisman Kevin De Bruyne has not appeared on the pitch. Guardiola commented last week on the Belgian’s recuperation, saying, “I spoke with him and he said he feels really good.”
“I’m not sure when he will start training with us; he hasn’t done so yet. He’s probably in the latter stages before working out with us once more.
