Arsenal’s pursuit of a striker this month was bound to generate further speculation about Dusan Vlahovic.
Since Juventus is currently having financial difficulties in Italy, a transfer of the Serbian striker may be imminent this winter. The Gunners have been monitoring the player for years.
Speaking about the possibility of Vlahovic joining Arsenal, Gary Cotterill of Sky Sports reveals that Arteta is a fan of the striker in an interview with The Arsenal Beat podcast.
More intriguingly, though, Cotterill claims that Juventus is willing to allow Vlahovic leave in exchange for a player and cash deal.
Vlahovic is available in a swap deal.
Cotterill revealed his knowledge of the Juventus player.
“Ivan Toney won’t be sold by Brentford in January, in my opinion. Dusan Vlahovic is another player whom Mikel Arteta is reportedly fond of. Arsenal found Juventus’ £50 million demand to be too much, but Juventus is struggling financially. They are open to considering a cash-plus-player deal, and they should also take into account the Italian tax laws, according to Cotterill.
Who is Arsenal able to switch?
This is an extremely intriguing development, and it begs the question of who players Arsenal would consider giving up in order to complete this transaction.
Remarkably, Thomas Partey has recently been connected to Juventus; maybe he may serve as the ideal lure to get the Italian powerhouses to agree to a transfer.
Due to Paul Pogba’s current suspension, Juventus needs a midfield player, and Partey has been connected to a move away from Arsenal for some time.
Emile Smith Rowe and Fabio Vieira, who are currently having difficulty getting minutes at the Emirates but still have a high transfer value, are two more possible choices.
This is definitely something to watch for this month.
