Major Update On The Status Of Drew McIntyre’s WWE Contract After The Latest Update
Drew McIntyre has not yet signed a new contract, and it has been previously stated that his current one ends soon after WrestleMania. Some speculated that this might have changed once it was revealed that McIntyre would be performing live in Italy on May 1. Given that McIntyre’s contract expires after the programme, some had speculated that the former world champion had resigned. Nevertheless, this is not the case, per a recent report.
Dave Meltzer gave an update on Wrestling Observer Radio, saying that although McIntyre hasn’t signed a new contract yet, he is anticipated to stick with the organization and eventually sign one:
It was revealed that Drew McIntyre would perform in Italy in May. Since his contract expires in April, the first thing to know is whether or not he has signed a new agreement. In response, he hasn’t signed a new contract, but he does appear to be thrilled and enthusiastic about his new role thus far. Though nothing is formalized, they are operating under the assumption that he won’t be leaving. It’s probably untrue that he took a lot of time off and did other things like that. It’s still only a possibility until he signs a new contract, although he will most likely sign one.
Who At WrestleMania Will Drew McIntyre Face?
World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins needs a challenger for WrestleMania 40 in Philadelphia since Cody Rhodes has selected Roman Reigns. McIntyre is a strong favourite to win inside the arena and take on Rollins at The Show of Shows, as the Scottish Warrior has been confirmed to participate in the Elimination Chamber battle on February 24.
