Darwin Nunez gave Liverpool the lead with a brilliant first goal in their match against Brentford on Saturday.
Shortly after the half-hour mark, Liverpool launched a counterattack, and the forward, after a clever header from Diogo Jota, chipped the ball over Mark Flekken to go through on goal.
He didn’t exhibit any symptoms of the finishing problems that have dogged him for the whole of his Liverpool career, but when he lifted the ball over the Brentford goalie, he did make his manager and teammate uneasy.
Flekken won a free kick in his half, punted it long, and Virgil van Dijk eventually cleared the ball in to score the goal from a Brentford set-piece.
