Coach Thomas Tuchel has revealed that Harry Kane is “not happy” with Bayern Munich’s recent poor performance and results.
In a matchup between top-ranked teams in the Bundesliga and the Champions League, Bayern suffered a 3-0 defeat at the hands of Bayer Leverkusen last weekend. Then, midweek, they suffered a 1-0 loss to Lazio.
The all-time winners, Bayern Munich, are currently five points behind the leaders in the Bundesliga and will require a miracle at the Allianz Arena to advance to the Winners League quarterfinals.
Due to a lack of service, Kane appeared isolated in those games, diving deeper to connect up and appearing irritated by the team’s inability to generate opportunities.
“Harry looks after himself,” Tuchel informed the press. “I’m not needed by him. He finds the gaming connection to be unsatisfactory. We’re not either. Such a disparity between training and games is uncommon in my experience.
“It’s amazing how he scores in training and how he blows opportunities. It is of the highest caliber. However, he is rarely seen in matches. It is as if he is a captain. Everything with him is good.”
Although the consecutive losses have put pressure on Tuchel, the former Chelsea manager is optimistic Bayern can turn things around.
“This is an odd circumstance,” he remarked. The mood is a touch dismal because we anticipated a response from ourselves.
Nevertheless, we are still in the Champions League as we have only lost the first leg. We’re all determined to make things better. I’ve found that you can only do it on the training pitch, which is where we practiced yesterday.
“We’ll give it our all to muster up the energy we need to reverse our fortunes.”
On Sunday, Bayern will play in the Bundesliga away to Bochum.
