Eric Dier joined the 33-time German champions on loan, and he has since made six appearances for Bayern, including four starts.
In the most recent of those, he assisted Bayern in a 2-1 victory over RB Leipzig at home on Saturday.
Dier has fulfilled the contractual requirements necessary to convert his Bayern loan into a permanent move at the end of the current campaign, according to the Athletic. This is true even if the team has said that manager Thomas Tuchel would leave at the end of the current campaign.
The initial agreement, reached in January with Tottenham, was set to last through the end of the current campaign, with an additional year’s option.
According to reports, the England international’s option has already been activated, and he will remain at Bayern until June 2025.
Spurs received a rumored loan fee of €4 million (£3.42 million) from the Bavarian powerhouse. According to reports, after the 30-year-old’s Spurs contract expires, Bayern will register him as a free agent.
After the 2023–24 season, Dier was to leave north London and be free to discuss a pre-contract arrangement with international teams.
Under Spurs manager Ange Postecoglou, he had only made four appearances in all competitions, with the Australian preferring Radu Dragusin and Micky van de Ven.
Complete-backs In the center of defense, Ben Davies and Emerson Royal have also been chosen over Dier.
Bayern’s next game is against SC Freiburg on Friday. They are currently eight points behind Bundesliga leaders Bayer Leverkusen.
Dier stated: “Bayern is one of the biggest clubs in the world and has an incredible history” when he signed with Bayern in January.
“I want to use my defensive versatility to benefit the team. One of the greatest stadiums in the world, the Allianz Arena, and my new teammates and supporters both excite me much.
