In the west London derby, Brentford and Chelsea fought to an entertaining draw, with a late equalizer from Axel Disasi.
Ten minutes before the half, Nicolas Jackson gave the visitors the lead when he rose to the top of the pitch and glanced a header into Mark Flekken’s net.
However, after a tussle in the area, Mads Roerslev beat Disasi to the ball and poked in from a few yards out to tie the score in the 50th minute, as Brentford had a good start to the second half.
Then, just moments later, Vitaly Janelt drove the ball low from 20 yards off the base of the right post to hit the woodwork for the hosts.
After causing Chelsea issues all afternoon, Yoane Wissa made a breathtaking acrobatic play in the 70th minute that completely changed the course of the match.
After Sergio Reguilon’s cross was deflected into the air, the Brentford attacker saw the ball coming back down and used an incredible bicycle kick to smash it past Djordje Petrovic.
Mauricio Pochettino’s team, which often falters in the closing minutes of games, increased the pressure as they were chasing the match and salvaged a point.
