Pep Guardiola, the manager of Man City, will also have to deal with the absence or injury of a few of his important players. Phil Foden and Erling Haaland are a couple of these.
This is a summary of Man City’s injury situation before of their matchup with Liverpool.
Newest Erling Haaland injury
The father of Erling Haaland thinks his son’s participation in Man City versus Liverpool this week is “touch and go.”
After tallying a hat-trick in City’s 6-0 victory against Burnley in the FA Cup quarterfinal last weekend, Haaland had a groin issue. The striker was first called up for Norway, but he was later dropped from the team.
Alfie Haaland informed Norway’s TV2 that “Manchester City has a partnership with a hospital in Barcelona therefore he has been there for additional checks and treatment.”
He has now spent a few days in Marbella with the club’s physiotherapist. First off, I’m not a medical professional, and secondly, I believe it to be “touch and go.” You cannot simply skip two weeks of training and then enter a battle. There must be some order to that.
“They can take a chance, but if he doesn’t receive adequate team preparation, he won’t be able to participate. It concerns how he reacts to the medication during the coming days. He requires a lot of tender love and “knuckling.” There are numerous sprints and numerous movements.”
Prior to it, he stated: “He really wanted to play in these two international games.
But he needs to put his health first and work on getting his physique back in shape. He appears to be doing well based on the assumptions, yet he is profoundly depressed.
On Sunday afternoon, Man City issued a statement stating that Phil Foden had undergone surgery for appendicitis.
Foden would not be able to play against Liverpool this weekend, according to City, who did not provide a specific timetable for his recovery.
According to a statement, “Manchester City can confirm Phil Foden has left the England squad after having surgery for severe appendicitis in London.”
“Phil will now go back to Manchester to start his recovery.
He won’t be available for this weekend’s Premier League match against Liverpool at home, and the duration of his absence is currently unknown.
“Everyone at Manchester City wishes Phil a speedy recovery,” the statement added.
