Curtis Jones won’t be able to play in Liverpool’s game against AFC Bournemouth.
The player in the middle of the team hurt his ankle during practice earlier this week, so he won’t be able to play in the game against the Cherries on Saturday.
Jones didn’t start the game last week because he came off the bench. He didn’t appear in the pictures with his teammates because he is injured. We hope his injury is not too bad and he can play in the next game. This is disappointing for his coach, Jurgen Klopp because he already doesn’t have many midfielders to choose from.
Thiago Alcantara is practicing again but he is not fully ready to play because he had an operation on his hip in April. Stefan Bajcetic also had an operation on his leg in March and he is still not considered healthy enough to play.
We don’t know for sure if Wataru Endo will be allowed to play for his new team because he needs special permission. He just joined Liverpool from another team called Stuttgart and it cost £16 million.
For the upcoming game against Bournemouth, Klopp has some new players to choose from in the midfield. Dominik Szoboszlai and Alexis Mac Allister, who joined the team in the summer, played their first full game against Chelsea. Cody Gakpo also played in the midfield during that game, and Harvey Elliott did a great job when he came in as a substitute. James McConnell, a young player, was also on the bench for the game.
